Recently, and accordingly with our growing strategy, we’ve acquired an engineering company specialized in Energy Efficiency Services & Project Management, named Ewen, which works on three major axes: i) developing renewable projects from scratch; ii) engineering, procurement and construction – EPC; iii) operation and maintenance – O&M.
To join Ewen team in Oporto we are looking for a:
You will report to our Senior Accountant from the Finance Team of Helexia Portugal, but by joining our Group, in particular moments of the Corporate Financial calendar, you will work closely to the Global Financial team as well. You will act with internal and external partners to ensure processes are performed in accordance with our quality standards. You will join a dynamic and integrated Finance role, in a very particular moment of our strategical growing path, delivering operational specialist services. Under the full support of our team, you will be held accountable for reporting related topics including financial accounting, management reporting, balance sheet control, trial balance review, treasury & cash management, tax & social security obligations compliance.
In full coordination with the Senior Accountant, and to promote the best procedures alignment between both Ewen and Helexia teams, you be responsible for:
• Supporting the definition of the internal accounting procedures regarding payroll accounting process, period-close preparation, review and reporting, vendor payments process, tax and social security obligations process, procurement process.
• Supporting the definition of relevant accounting policies (or others connected with accounting procedures) to be applied to the day-to-day local office life.
• Support in documenting all relevant accounting procedures that needs to be executed for all the processes under the accountant responsibility
• Support the preparation and submission of all applicable Tax forms, Social Security forms and any other relevant forms that the entity is entitled to submit, following the respective guidelines and deadlines.
Qualification & Education
Academic Degree in Accounting or Business Management
Results-oriented, with ability to identify issues and follow through with efficient, effective solutions
Able to participate within teams and collaboration cross-functionally
Self-motivated, proactive and strong initiative profile
Domain of Microsoft Office tools, in particular Excel
Analytical, planning and organizational skills
Strong customer and results orientation
Willing to build the end-to-end accounting process
Fluency in English, spoken and written (required), French is a plus.
3+ years of relevant experience in Accounting (plus)
